"The Asia-Pacific International Molecular Biology Network is founded in the belief that molecular biology, cell biology and biotechnology can contribute greatly to the benefit of humankind, and that such benefit will accrue through close cooperation and collaboration amongst scientists and scientific institutions, supported by national and international agencies, and industry. The Network will provide a forum and mechanism for such interaction through a range of activities including promoting collaborative research, the provision of training and skill enhancement opportunities, and the dissemination of information."
